XBRL International, Inc. (XII) (www.xbrl.org) announced that Italy, Luxembourg and South Africa have been elevated to full jurisdictions with voting rights in the XBRL International Steering Committee.

The Technology Council of the Open Compliance and Ethics Group (OCEG) has established a provisional XBRL jurisdiction following strong interest in the use of XBRL by OCEG members and adoption by the organization’s GRC-XML Program working group.

XBRL is supported by local organizations called “Jurisdictions”. Jurisdiction is focused on country which represent and its purpose is education, marketing, explanation of the XBRL benefits and support in XBRL implementation.
