Release of IFRS Taxonomy 2009 labels in Korean

The International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) Foundation XBRL team is pleased to announce the release of the Korean translation of the complete label linkbases for the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Taxonomy 2009.

The IASB is seeking a number of board members over the next three years who will serve a five year term, with eligibility for renewal for a further five years. The roles are full-time and are based in London. The members of the Board meet monthly to review and discuss new papers and projects.

IASB and FASB create advisory group to review reporting issues related to credit crisis

The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) today announced that they will create a global advisory group comprising regulators, preparers, auditors, investors and other users of financial statements. The advisory group will help to ensure that reporting issues arising from the global economic crisis are considered in an internationally co-ordinated manner.

The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) today published for public comment proposals to improve the information available to investors and others about fair value measurements of financial instruments and liquidity risk.

IASC Foundation Publishes IFRS XBRL Taxonomy 2008

The International Accounting Standards Committee Foundation’s XBRL Team has released the near-final version of the IFRS Taxonomy 2008, translating International Financial Reporting Standards into Extensible Business Reporting Language. XBRL Team is redeveloping the IFRS Taxonomy in order to reflect the new versions of IFRSs. Among some improvements, the IFRS Taxonomy 2008 will include new XBRL technologies such as Versioning, Dimensions and Rendering.
