I found this interesting article on xbrlspy.org made by Diane Mueller, Chair XBRL-INT Software Interoperablity Working Group where she analyse the current situation with XBRL software solutions. Her focus is on open source solutions, or better say only few XBRL projects which are open source. After this analisys she asked a question: Is a Lack of Open Source hindering XBRL adoption?

Whether this means that in this market niche there is enough free space for new products? I think that the answer is “yes.
