XBRL International Welcomes United Arab Emirates to Global Effort to Improve Transparency of Business Information.

The Technology Council of the Open Compliance and Ethics Group (OCEG) has established a provisional XBRL jurisdiction following strong interest in the use of XBRL by OCEG members and adoption by the organization’s GRC-XML Program working group.

XBRL International, Inc. has formed XBRL Europe, a non-profit association based in Brussels to represent, coordinate and support XBRL members within Europe in their efforts to drive XBRL strategy and adoption across the region.

XBRL is supported by local organizations called “Jurisdictions”. Jurisdiction is focused on country which represent and its purpose is education, marketing, explanation of the XBRL benefits and support in XBRL implementation.
