XBRL Europe Organization Formed

XBRL International, Inc. has formed XBRL Europe, a non-profit association based in Brussels to represent, coordinate and support XBRL members within Europe in their efforts to drive XBRL strategy and adoption across the region.

What is XBRL Europe? 
 
XBRL Europe is founded as an international non-profit association based in Brussels under Belgian law in accordance with the Law of 27 June 1921 on Non-Profit Associations, International Non-Profit Associations and Foundations.

List of XBRL jurisdictions

XBRL is supported by local organizations called “Jurisdictions”. Jurisdiction is focused on country which represent and its purpose is education, marketing, explanation of the XBRL benefits and support in XBRL implementation.

There are two types of Jurisdictions - provisional and established. Provisional Jurisdictions are small groups which are beginning the process of XBRL introduction. Established Jurisdictions have large number of members divided into several working groups, developed taxonomies,…
